How long each method takes
| Method | Total time |
|---|---|
| Interac e-Transfer | Two to four business days |
| MuchBetter | Two to four business days |
| Visa | Up to six business days |
| Apple Pay | Up to six business days |
| Wire transfer | Five to eight business days |
Every request starts the same way: 888casino processes it within one business day. The rest of the time is the payment itself reaching your bank, card or wallet. 888 counts business days as Monday to Friday.
Times are 888casino's own figures, not our tests, and they can change. Check the cashier for the current details before you withdraw.
Before your first withdrawal
- Have your photo ID ready. 888's withdrawal policy says a copy of a current photo ID is required for your first withdrawal request. A Social Insurance Number card or health card isn't accepted for this, and 888 may also ask for proof of address showing your name and address as they appear on your account.
- Verify promptly if asked. If 888 asks you to verify your account, it returns pending withdrawals to your balance until verification is complete, and you have 7 days to complete it before a withdrawal is reversed.
- Deposit the way you want to be paid. Withdrawals go back to the methods you deposited with first (see below), so if you want Interac payouts, deposit by Interac.
- Turn on Interac Autodeposit at your bank. Interac says Autodeposit puts e-Transfers straight into your account without a security question.
Ontario's rules also require every regulated site to validate your name, date of birth and address before your account opens. Our guide to location and ID checks explains what that involves.
Which method your money goes back to
If you've deposited by Visa credit card or Interac e-Transfer, 888casino pays withdrawals back to those methods first, up to the amount you've deposited with each, minus anything already paid back to it.
Anything above that is paid by Visa credit card or wire transfer, or by Interac e-Transfer if you've deposited with it before.
888 doesn't pay withdrawals to Mastercard credit cards or Paysafecard, even though you can deposit with them. Its payment methods page lists Visa, Apple Pay, Interac and MuchBetter for both deposits and withdrawals, but its withdrawal policy only describes payouts by Visa, Interac e-Transfer and wire transfer, so check the cashier to see how you'll be paid.
The minimum withdrawal is $5 for every method. Some methods have a maximum, and Visa payouts follow your card issuer's limit.
How to withdraw
- Log in to 888casino.ca or the 888 Casino app.
- Open the cashier and choose to withdraw.
- Pick your payout method and enter the amount.
- If it's your first withdrawal, upload a copy of your photo ID in the cashier when 888 asks for it.
- Wait for processing, within one business day, then for the payment to arrive.
Cancelling a withdrawal
You can cancel a withdrawal request from the cashier while 888casino is still processing it, within one business day of your request. The money goes back into your balance. After that, you can't cancel it.
888's policy is clear that if you cancel a withdrawal and then play that money, you're responsible for those wagers and 888 doesn't have to refund them.
If you'd rather not be tempted to cancel and play the money, 888casino's Control Centre has a setting that stops you reversing a pending withdrawal. Switching it back on takes seven days. You'll find the Control Centre under the shield icon in the site header, along with daily, weekly or monthly deposit, loss and playing time limits. Lowering a limit works right away, and raising one waits 24 hours.
If a withdrawal is late
- Count business days. 888's times are in business days, Monday to Friday.
- Check for an ID request. A first withdrawal needs a copy of your photo ID, and a withdrawal can be returned to your balance while 888 verifies your account.
- Contact 888casino. Call +1 833 677 8890, toll-free, every day from 8 am to midnight ET, or use live chat 24/7 once you log in: open the User icon, choose Help Center, then Chat. You can also email through the link on its help centre's Contacting us page.
- Escalate if you need to. If a regulated site doesn't resolve your complaint, you can take it to iGaming Ontario. Our guide explains how complaints work.
If you stop playing
You can withdraw your remaining balance at any time, subject to 888's verification checks. If you don't log in for 365 days, your account becomes inactive and 888 can charge an $8 monthly fee until your balance reaches zero. It sends 30 days' notice first, and logging in reactivates your account and stops the fee.
